Our macarons are best stored cold in the refrigerator for a week or freezer for up to a year. Treat them like a cake, if you leave it out for a couple days it will be fine but a little dry. The colder it is stored the fresher.
When you’re ready to eat, remove from the fridge/freezer and bring them to room temperature. If they were in the fridge, leave them on your counter for 5 minutes, or 15 if they were in the freezer. Then, enjoy!
Don’t worry! Unlike ice cream they can defrost and refreeze without any concern.
